Paul Laine

Paul Laine is a hard rock musician born in 1967 in Vancouver. He works in rock, melodic hard rock, AOR and melodic rock, and is known for singing with Danger Danger, Shugaazer and The Defiants.

Career

Laine leaves home at 13 and starts playing in bars before he is 18. He records a demo that attracts the attention of Canadian VJ Terry David Mulligan, after which he signs management and then a major label deal. He then forms a band to record and perform his own songs.

In 1990 he releases his debut album, Stick It In Your Ear. He also records backing vocals for Scorpions.

In 1993, members of Danger Danger hear his debut album and invite him to become their lead singer. He fronts the band for 10 years and records five albums with them. He later leaves in 2005 to work with his own band, Shugaazer.
