Paragon
Paragon is a German heavy metal band from Hamburg, active from 1990. The band is associated with power metal and also with heavy metal and speed metal. It is formed by guitar player and main songwriter Martin Christian, who establishes the group in 1990 and remains a central figure in its early development.
History
Paragon begins recording in 1992 with its first demo tape, Maelstrom of Decline, and plays its first live shows in the same period. In 1994 it releases the mini CD Into the Black, which receives strong reviews in the German metal press. By the end of 1994, Christian has written enough material for the band’s first official release, World of Sin.
