Papa Shango is an 1980s funk group from the United States led by Afrika Bambaataa. The group includes Michael Beinhorn, Bernard Fowler, Wilfred Fowler, Amad Henderson, Bill Laswell and Afrika Bambaataa.

The name is also used for a Brighton-based unsigned band that performs a mix of funk, gospel, rock, rap, old school hip hop and sing-along material. That version of the group features Jake Yeboah on vocals, Joey Marsh on guitar, George Smith on drums and Ted Lott on bass, with Steph Yeboah occasionally appearing on stage as a lead or backing vocalist.
