Papa Levi is a British reggae and dancehall artist born in England to Jamaican parents. He begins his career as a DJ with the Jah Man and Prophecy sound systems before joining Saxon Sound System while still a teenager. At Saxon, he works with performers including Maxi Priest.

His first single, “Mi God Mi King,” charts in both England and Jamaica. He also appears alongside Aswad, Gregory Isaacs and Yellowman at a Reggae Sunsplash concert. Levi later releases Back to Basics on the Ras label.
