Panteón Rococó
Panteón Rococó is a Mexican Latin-ska group formed in Mexico City in 1995. The band is active from 1995 to the present and is associated with ska, reggae and Latin music, alongside a wider blend of rock, punk, salsa, cumbia, mariachi and mestizo influences.
Style and themes
The group’s sound combines several popular styles into an energetic, groove-driven mix. Its songs include both political lyrics and love songs. The band is also described as politically engaged and sympathetic to the EZLN in Chiapas.
Career and international activity
Panteón Rococó sells thousands of records and has a strong following in Mexico. It also tours in Europe, with particular activity in Germany, where its European label Übersee Records is based.

The group includes Dr. Shenka on vocals, Dario Espinosa on bass, Hiram Paniagua on drums, Leonel Rosales on guitar, Felipe Bustamante on keyboard, Paco Barajas on trombone, Gorri on guitar, Missael on saxophone and Tanis on percussion.
