Panic Cell

Panic Cell is a metal group from Kent, United Kingdom, active from 2003 to 2011. The band works across metal, heavy metal, alternative rock, alternative metal and progressive thrash, and is fronted by Luke Bell.

Career

The group releases its first two albums, Bitter Part of Me and What Doesn’t Kill Us, before issuing its third album, Fire It Up, on Undergroove Records in 2010. The band describes that record as a harder-working and more varied release while still keeping its riffs, hooks and choruses. It is noted for tracks including Burden Inside, UnBroKen, Black Juice, Splitting Skulls and To Die For Lust.

Panic Cell tours with acts including Disturbed, Staind, Mudvayne, Devildriver, Drowning Pool, Soil, Testament, Flyleaf and In This Moment. It also plays festivals such as Download, Fields of Rock, Wacken and Bloodstock Open Air.

Collaborations and other work

The band contributes soundtrack music to the Electronic Arts and Realtime Worlds video game APB. In 2008 it also provides soundtrack music for MTV’s Fur TV and appears in various episodes of the series.

In 2010, Panic Cell performs at Hammerfest II, appears at Download twice, opens the main stage at Sonisphere Prague, and plays major European festival dates in Poland and Belgium. That same period sees it tour with Life of Agony, The Damned Things, Anthrax and 3 Inches of Blood, and support Alice Cooper, Slayer and Metallica. The group also features on the soundtrack to the Bollywood gangster film Pusher, and releases the single and video Crazy.

Live profile

The band is described as having played to large festival audiences across Europe, including a performance at Przystanek Woodstock in Poland and a set at Lokerse Festival in Belgium. It also makes a live acoustic appearance at Download on the Jägermeister acoustic stage.
