Pam Ayres
Pam Ayres is a British poet, comedian and songwriter from Stanford in the Vale, United Kingdom. Born in 1947, she also works as a presenter of radio and television programmes.
She first comes to wider attention after appearing on the television talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1975. That exposure leads to further appearances on television and radio, a one-woman touring stage show, and a performance before the Queen.
She is known as Pam Ayres MBE.
