Palisades are a post-hardcore band from Iselin, New Jersey, active from 2011 to 2023. The group begins as Marilyn Is Dead in 2008 before taking the name Palisades in August 2011. Their sound is associated with post-hardcore and electronicore, and they are also tagged with metalcore, screamo and emocore.

Career

Palisades sign to Rise Records after changing their name. Over the course of their career, they release five studio albums: Outcasts in 2012, Mind Games in 2015, a self-titled album in 2017, Erase the Pain in 2018, and Reaching Hypercritical in 2022. Before becoming Palisades, the band also issues one self-released album under the Marilyn Is Dead name.

Line-up

The final lineup includes Louis “Lou” Miceli Jr on lead vocals; Xavier Adames on lead guitar and backing vocals; Matthew Marshall on rhythm guitar; Aaron Rosa on drums and percussion; and Earl Halasan on turntables, sampling, keyboards, synthesizers and programming, as well as lead and rhythm guitar. Halasan is part of the band from 2008 to 2016 and returns for the final show in 2023, alongside former vocalist Lou Miceli.

The band confirms in January 2023 that it will break up after one last show in February 2023.
