Palaye Royale

Palaye Royale is a rock band from Las Vegas, United States, active since 2008. The group consists of Emerson Barrett, Sebastian Danzig and Remington Leith, who are brothers and were born with the surname Kropp. Their stage names use their first and middle names.

History

The band begins in 2008 under the name Kropp Circle, then adopts the name Palaye Royale in 2011. The new name comes from the Palais Royale dance hall, where their grandparents meet. The group presents itself in styles including alternative rock, garage rock, glam rock, pop rock, rock and roll, indie rock and fashion-art rock.

Members

Current line-up

Remington Leith handles lead vocals, Sebastian Danzig plays guitar and keyboards, and Emerson Barrett plays drums and piano. Andrew Martin joins on guitar in 2018, and Logan Baudean joins on bass in 2022.

Former members

The band’s former bassists are Daniel Curcio, who plays from 2017 to 2020, and Jennie Vee, who plays from 2021 to 2022.

Releases

Palaye Royale’s recorded output includes the single Morning Light, the albums Boom Boom Room (Side A), Boom Boom Room (Side B), The Bastards, Fever Dream and Death or Glory, the cover version Mad World, and the EPs Sextape and Songs For Sadness. The group also releases the single Destrozado y Roto.

Awards and nominations

The band receives a nomination for Best Underground Band at the Alternative Press Music Awards in 2017, wins Best Breakthrough Artist at the Rock Sound Awards in 2018, and receives a nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2020.
