Oz

Oz is a Finnish heavy metal band that forms in Nakkila, Sweden, and has been active since 1977. It counts as a Finnish/Swedish metal act and is associated with heavy metal and metal. The band is part of the early 1980s Finnish metal scene and is described as one of the first and most successful bands in that movement, helping to lay groundwork for the scene’s later growth.

The group retires after the album Roll the Dice, then reunites in February 2010 and continues as an active band. Across its career it releases five studio albums, one EP and two singles, and also appears on the compilation splits Scandinavian Metal Attack 1 and 2.

Members associated with Oz include Kari Elo, Tauno Vajavaara, Ape de Martini, Mark Ruffneck, Esa Niva, Jukka Lewis, Speedy Foxx and Spooky Wolff.
