Orquestra Voadora

Orquestra Voadora is a Brazilian brass band and orchestra from Rio de Janeiro. It forms in 2008, when musicians from the city who play at Circo Voador decide to join together as a band. The group remains active.

The orchestra works with musicians who also play as session players for different artists in the independent scene. Its music combines fanfarra, afrobeat and samba, and it also has its own bloco de Carnaval, or Carnival block.
