Organic
Overview
Organic is a name used by at least three different bands. One is an electro project formed in 2011 by Joris Oster, Raphaël Haubourdin and Olivier Justin, who draw on post-new wave and post-punk influences and combine fuzzy bass guitar, electronic sounds, bass lines, keyboard sequences and deep vocals. Another is a death metal band from San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, which uses the name Organic after previously being known as Organic Infest. A third is a death metal band from Bruneck in Bolzano, in Trentino-South Tyrol, Italy, formed in 2013.
The 2011 electro project
The 2011 project begins after a shared Post New Wave Tour of Graceland and Silver Riot. Joris Oster, who has played in YEL and Silver Riot, joins Raphaël Haubourdin, who has also been in Graceland and is part of KINEX KINEX, and Olivier Justin, formerly of PHC. The group forms an electro sound built around a fuzzy bass guitar and electronic signals. After time in a recording studio, it develops into a release titled under your carbon constellation, issued on compact disc and double vinyl on the Swedish label CCP.
The band plays live in Europe, including dates in Germany, Britain and Sweden, and performs alongside acts such as Agent Side Grinder, Graham Coxon of Blur, and Disappears. It also has material played on a specialist podcast in Belgium while it works on another album.
The death metal bands
The Organic name is also used by two death metal groups. One comes from San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, and operates under the name Organic after being called Organic Infest from 1991 to 2016. The other is based in Bruneck, in Bolzano, Trentino-South Tyrol, Italy, and forms in 2013.
