Omnia

Omnia is a folk and neofolk group from Utrecht in the Netherlands, active since 1996. It is associated with neoceltic and pagan folk, and its line-up includes Luka, Sic, Jennifer van der Harten, Joe Hennon, Michel Rozek, Joost van Es, Tom Spaan, Philip Steenbergen, Daphyd Sens, Rob van Barschot and Steve Evans-van der Harten.

Style and repertoire

The group describes its music as neoceltic pagan folk. Its members have come from Irish, Dutch, Indonesian, English and Belgian backgrounds, and the project draws on traditional music from a range of cultural routes, including Ireland, England and Afghanistan. Omnia performs in Welsh, English, Irish, Breton, Finnish, German, Dutch, Latin and Hindi.

Its instrumentation includes Celtic harp, mouth harp, hurdy-gurdy, bodhrán, guitar, bouzouki, didgeridoo, flutes, bagpipes, drums and other percussion instruments.

Personnel

Current members are Steve Sic (Steve Evans-van der Harten), who handles frontman duties, flutes, bouzouki, percussion and vocals; Jenny (Jennifer Evans-van der Harten), who plays harp, hurdy-gurdy, hammered dulcimer, bodhrán, piano and vocals; Daphyd Crow (Daphyd Sens), on sliding didgeridoo; Rob Thunder (Rob van Barschot), on drums and percussion; and Satrya, on DADGAD guitar.

Former members listed include Mitch Rozek, Luka Aubri-Krieger, Joe Hennon, Tom Spaan and Philip Steenbergen.
