Olof Dreijer is a Swedish electronic musician, producer and DJ from Nacka, born in 1981. He is a member of The Knife and is based in Barcelona.

Solo work and aliases

Dreijer performs minimal techno under the name Oni Ayhun and previously uses the alias DJ Coolof. He starts working as Oni Ayhun around 2010, using the project to explore more experimental directions and ideas around gender. His DJ sets draw on a wide range of club styles, including funky techno, melodic house, baile funk and batida.

Career

Alongside his work with The Knife, Dreijer DJs across Europe at clubs and international festivals. He also works as a producer for other artists and teaches music production. He describes his approach as pushing the boundaries of electronic music while keeping his sets varied and playful.

Collaborations and projects

In 2015, Dreijer tours as Decon Recon with Paula Temple, rRoxymore and Planningtorock, in a project built around collective sound sources and a refusal to identify who makes which sounds. He produces Tunisian multi-instrumentalist Houeida Hedfi’s album for Phantasy Sounds. He also works with Swedish-Kurdish pop artist Zhala, including the track “Holes” on Konichiwa Records and a remix of the same song. Other reworks include Mehdi Bahmad’s “Rouge A Levres,” “Ti Chuong” by Emmanuel Jal and Nyaruach, and the Röyksopp and Robyn collaboration “Monument.”
