Oliver Twizt is the recording name of Dutch EDM DJ and producer Joel Rene, from Bilthoven in the Netherlands. He begins as the producer behind the Dutch DJ and producer duo Skitzofrenix, formed with Edin Ibrahimovic.

Before using the Oliver Twizt name, he produces music from a young age, working with 2-step, hip hop and party breaks. His early work with Skitzofrenix includes the tracks “Bring The Noise” and “Damn it”, which lead to remixes for Gregor Salto, Sidney Samson and Erick E.

Background and style

Twizt’s work sits within Dutch house, EDM and electro house. His earlier influences include Switch, Speakerfunk, Timbaland, The Neptunes, Just Blaze, DJ EZ, Green Velvet, Tim Deluxe, Audio Bullys, DJ Sneak, Kenny Dope, Roni Size, Basement Jaxx and The Prodigy.

Career

After his time in Skitzofrenix, he continues as a solo producer and DJ under the Oliver Twizt name. He also joins VibeIndustries.
