Oliver Koletski
Oliver Koletski is an electronic music producer from Braunschweig, Germany, born in 1974. He works in house, tech house, minimal techno, techno, minimal and electro, and is associated with the labels Flash Recordings and Stil vor Talent. He also appears under the name Parker Frisby, and has projects with The Koletzkis and Oliver Koletzki & Fran.
Early background
He begins making music in the 1980s using a Commodore 64. At the age of 13, he starts guitar and piano lessons. His early influences include breakdance and hip hop from the early 1990s. After passing his A-levels, he studies music at Berlin Humboldt University. He also does sound design for films at the Berlin University of the Arts.
Career highlights
In 2005, he has a major success with the track “Der Muckenschwarm”. It is signed to Sven Väth’s Cocoon label, remixed by Dominik Eulberg, and included on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection compilation. The track is later voted Best Track in Groove Magazine’s readers poll for that year.
He also remixes Oliver Huntemann’s “Radio” for the Dance Electric label, and releases remixes on Secret Planet, Great Stuff and Gomma Records under the Parker Frisby name.
