oktobernatt

oktobernatt is a Berlin-based six-piece group active since 2024. It plays alternative rock and dream pop, and its sound is built around spacious guitars, strong vocals and a prominent low end, with an emphasis on lyrical themes. The band consists of Myra May Amneskog, Gabriel Jansson Svedberg, Joona Kevin Keturi, Alban Constantin König, Vignir Darri Viðarsson and Ole von Garrel.

Formation and line-up

The group forms in Berlin, with members drawn from Sweden, Iceland, Germany and Finland. Gabriel Jansson Svedberg, Vignir Darri Viðarsson and Alban Constantin König first connect through a studio session in Berlin in 2024, where they begin writing songs together. They then bring in Ole von Garrel on drums, Myra Amneskog on keyboard and Joona Keturi on guitar, completing the line-up.

Activity and recordings

After forming, oktobernatt begins playing live shows and recording early demos while developing its sound. The band later returns to the studio at Trixx Studios in Berlin to record its debut EP, having already played shows in Sweden and Germany. Its first release is “Vonin”, followed by “Rasa”, a song about feeling trapped in a hopeless relationship and frustrated by wasted effort.

Musical style

The group presents itself as a non-symphonic orchestra, combining guitar-led indie rock roots with expansive arrangements and a carefully constructed sound. Its work is described as continuing to evolve through experimentation and a growing focus on atmosphere and texture.
