Ok Pilot

Ok Pilot is a group that starts in 2006 and plays melodic post-punk and punk rock. It is based in Exeter and is associated with the local punk scene there. The band describes its music as punk rock with a strong melodic approach, and it presents itself as part of an active scene rather than as a vehicle for a specific ideology or set of views.

Releases and label activity

The band has a 10-inch release titled Nerves, which comes out on Yo-Yo Records. Its recorded output is presented in the context of that release rather than through a long list of albums or singles.

Live activity

Ok Pilot appears in the festival and touring circuit, with performances at Fest 7 and Fest 8. It also tours with Young Livers, Bridge & Tunnel, Shapes, Landmines, Solutions and Dead City Stereo.

Scene and connections

The band identifies closely with the Exeter punk rock scene and names a number of other local acts as part of that wider community, including The Computers, The Cut Ups, Will Rene, Brothers, Smoke 'Em Out, False Arrests, Hooks and Rat Attack. It presents that scene as diverse and healthy, and it positions itself as one part of that network.
