Office Dog

Office Dog is a New Zealand indie rock trio formed in 2021. The band is based between Ōtepoti/Dunedin and Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, and is led by Kane Strang on guitar and vocals, with Rassani Tolovaa on bass and Mitchell Innes on drums.

The group develops songs collaboratively, with Strang moving from a solo career into a more collective project alongside Tolovaa and Innes, both of whom are previous collaborators. The three begin writing together in different parts of Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, and the material gradually comes together over the following year.

Their debut full-length album is Spiel. It is recorded with producer De Stevens at Roundhead Studios and mastered by Jonathan Pearce of The Beths. The trio’s music is described in terms of layered arrangements, tension and release, and lyricism.
