Ofeliadorme

Ofeliadorme is an Italian alternative rock, electronic and indie rock group from Bologna, active since 2007. The band consists of Francesca Bono, Tato Izzia and Michele Postpischi.

Style and sound

The group’s name is inspired by Arthur Rimbaud’s poem about Ophelia. Its music is described as a blend of ambient, New Wave, dreamy electronica and indie rock, drawing comparisons with Cocteau Twins, Portishead and PJ Harvey. The band’s sound combines Francesca Bono’s vocals and guitars with Michele Postpischi’s percussion and Tato Izzia’s synths, low-end parts and electronic textures, creating a subdued but intense atmosphere.

Releases and activity

Over the years, Ofeliadorme has released two LPs, along with numerous EPs, 7-inch records and singles. Its third full-length release, Secret Fires, is produced, mixed and recorded by Howie B and engineered by Joe Hirst, and appears on HB Recordings. The group tours internationally and has performed in the UK, China, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Belgium.
