nt89 is the recording name of Nima Tahmasebi, an Italian electronic music producer, graphic designer and DJ from L'Aquila, Italy. He works in electro, techno, electronic, noise and house, and is also described as an Italian electro/funk DJ. He begins DJing and producing at the age of 14, when he plays his first set in a club in his hometown called Darkover.

Alongside music, Tahmasebi builds a career as a graphic designer and works in videogame editing. He creates a widely downloaded add-on called The Superpatch in 2006, and is credited with building what is described as the “best pes editing team” with the help of Argentine programmer Ariel Santarelli.

His profile in electronic music grows in 2007 through a remix of Laidback Luke’s “Hot Hot Hotter”, which is played widely in the scene. He also remixes Justice’s “D.A.N.C.E.”; that version is championed by The Bloody Beetroots and Shinichi Osawa and appears on the French blog Kidz by Colette.

After a series of remixes and original tracks, he releases his first EP, you are my very special one. The title is a tribute to The Velvet Underground & Nico, who influence him strongly during its production. He is associated with World Nima Records.
