No.1 Station
No.1 Station are an English eight-piece band working in ska, rocksteady and reggae. They are associated with a new generation of Blue Beat and are linked to the resurgence of Blue Beat Records, for which they release a number of singles.
The group build their sound around Jamaican popular music styles, with ska, rocksteady and reggae forming the core of their output. Their releases on Blue Beat Records include six singles, which are described as well received.
No.1 Station also have a strong live reputation. They appear regularly on the festival circuit and are noted as favourites at Glastonbury, Lost Vagueness, Electric Picnic and Sproai, as well as other regional events.
The band also record albums, including Boss Beat.
