NO

NO is an Australian group from Melbourne that is active between 1986 and 1989. The band works in art rock and post-punk, and is one of several acts to use the name NO.

Line-up

The group consists of Ollie Olsen, Marie Hoy and Michael Sheridan.

Releases

NO releases a self-titled 12-inch EP in 1988. Its two albums are Glory For The Shit For Brains and Once We Were Scum, Now We Are God, issued in 1987 and 1989 respectively.

Style and name

The band blends electronic music with nihilistic punk rock, in a manner compared with New York group Suicide. Its name is a direct reference to Yes.
