No Fun at All
No Fun at All is a Swedish punk band from Skinnskatteberg, formed in 1991 and active again after a break-up and later reunion. The group starts as a punk rock trio made up of Mikael Danielsson on guitar, Jimmie Olsson on vocals and drums, and Henrik Sunvisson on bass. Its name combines a variation on “No Fun”, associated with the Stooges and later covered by the Sex Pistols, with the name of Sick of It All.
The band’s line-up changes several times over the years. In 1993, Olsson leaves to focus on Sober but continues to add backing vocals on later albums except Out of Bounds. Ingemar Jansson joins as vocalist, Krister Johansson as guitarist and Kjell Ramstedt as drummer. In 1999, Sunvisson leaves, Danielsson switches from guitar to bass, and Stefan Neuman, formerly of Tribulation, joins on guitar.
No Fun at All releases its albums outside the United States through Burning Heart Records. In the US, Theologian Records issues its releases apart from Out of Bounds, which comes out on Revelation Records. Epitaph Records later releases the compilation Master Celebrations in 2002 in the US.
The band disbands in January 2001 and plays a farewell concert later that month. It returns for live dates from 2004 onwards. After previewing “Never Ending Stream” online in October 2008 and issuing the single “Reckless (I Don’t Wanna)” that November, the group releases Low Rider on its own label, Beat ’Em Down Records. It later resumes activity after a further break in 2012, tours Australia in 2013, and returns there on several occasions, including tours in 2020 with Pennywise and Strung Out and in 2022 in support of Seventh Wave.
