Nikol

Nikol is an alternative rock band from Raleigh, North Carolina, in the United States. Their sound is compared with Evanescence, early Paramore and Flyleaf. The band releases music as a group and is described as having a female rock identity, and it has won the Female Rock title at the Carolina Music Awards.

Releases

Nikol’s first full-length album is Bittersweet. After a nationwide radio campaign, the album leads to 13 licensing offers for television programmes including Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Real World. The band later records a five-song EP, White Lies, with Drew Fulk and Kile O’Dell. Both releases are available on digital platforms.

Collaborators and recording

The band works with Drew Fulk, who has also worked with Upon A Burning Body, Motionless in White and Crown the Empire, and with Kile O’Dell, whose credits include Failure Anthem, Motionless in White and Cursed Sails. Nikol also works with Dan Korneff, who has credits with Paramore, Breaking Benjamin and Pierce The Veil, for a later release.

Live appearances and recognition

Nikol is a three-time nominee at the Carolina Music Awards and wins the Female Rock award. The band plays SXSW in 2017, appearing three times, and returns in 2018. It also plays Vans Warped Tour in 2015, and appears at The Inkcarceration Festival in Mansfield, Ohio.
