Nikki Rous

Nikki Rous is a Greece-origin alternative rock, indie rock and rock artist who sings and plays guitar. She writes and performs acoustic songs, both as a solo performer and with other musicians.

Background and work

Rous attends or attended London Stage School, where she trains as a dancer and classical singer. She teaches herself guitar at 16 and starts gigging while still in education. She also helps out at local music nights, which leads her to set up a music production company aimed at promoting new live bands.

Alongside her music, she is also a parent. The account of her work mentions that she writes new material, performs gigs, cycles through a range of hairstyles, designs and wears tattoos, and deals with her vehicle by getting mechanics to fix it.

Live performances and collaborations

Rous shares stages with Supergrass, Roisin Murphy, Level 42, The Pogues, Tom Robinson, Scott Matthews and Nerina Pallot. She performs at venues including Wolves Civic Hall, The Robin 2 and The Glee Club, and also warms up the audience for Jamiroquai at Birmingham’s LG Arena.
