Night Tapes is a London dream pop group made up of Max Doohan and Iiris. The project begins as informal evening sessions between housemates in London, with Sam Richards also part of the original line-up described in early accounts. Its sound is defined by genre mixing and recordings made with different levels of fidelity, which contribute to an atmospheric style associated with dream pop and electronic music.

The group’s music also draws on the mood of night-time London and on direct, reflective songwriting. It is described in terms of soundscapes that blend these elements into a distinctive, layered approach.
