Nicola Black is a composer, singer, pianist and guitarist who lives and works in south-west Scotland. She teaches music and songwriting, and performs in several settings: with the band Quirkus, as a solo artist, and as a duo with bass player Blackie.

Music and performance

Black has a background in a cappella singing. She records with Quirkus, Damsel Jam, Ian Bruce and other artists. Alongside performing, she also acts as an MC at the Wickerman Festival and at Open Stage nights.
