Nick Curly

Nick Curly is a German DJ and producer working across deep house, minimal, tech house and related house and techno styles. He begins his DJ career at the age of 15, when he becomes resident at the Vibration Club in the Karlsruhe region of Germany. He later holds resident slots at the Loft Club in Ludwigshafen and the Soho Club in Mannheim.

Career

He is a regular fixture in clubs around Germany for much of the following decade and also builds a profile in other European territories. Alongside DJing, he develops his work as a composer and starts releasing his own productions from 2006.

Curly’s music draws on influences including DJ Sneak, Frankie Knuckles, Air, RAJO, Dennis Ferrer, Fred Everything, Villalobos and Luciano. His sound is described through house, tech-house, techno and minimal elements, with an emphasis on finding balance within each track.

Labels

Most of his releases appear on 8Bit Records and Cécille Records, the labels he runs from Mannheim, Germany. He also has tracks lined up on murmur records in the UK and on Supernature, a label run by Audiofly.
