Recordings and releases
In 2016 he releases the five-track EP Through The Tall Grass, which is described as a heavily atmospheric recording. In 2017 he issues the single Birch Tree, a track that attracts attention from BBC Introducing and receives airplay on BBC Wales’ and BBC Ulster’s Folk Shows.
Live activity and collaborators
By this period Byrne performs live with a three-piece band and continues recording with Jake Robbins, who also works with Weird Milk and Ben McKelvey. His growing profile leads to a support slot with Declan McKenna.
