NERVO

NERVO is an electronic music duo from Melbourne, Australia, made up of twin sisters Miriam Nervo and Olivia Nervo. Active since 2005, the pair work as artists, songwriters and producers, and are known for their blend of EDM, electro house, electronic and progressive house.

Songwriting and production

Before developing their artist project, NERVO establish a reputation as songwriters. They write for and collaborate with a wide range of pop and dance acts, including Kesha, Kylie Minogue, David Guetta, Kelly Rowland and the Pussycat Dolls. Their best-known songwriting credit is on David Guetta’s Grammy-winning track “When Love Takes Over”, performed by Kelly Rowland.

The duo also remix material by artists including Katy Perry, 30 Seconds to Mars and Cobra Starship. Their club-oriented productions help build their profile internationally, and they top club charts in several markets.

Recording career

NERVO sign as artists to Virgin America/Astralwerks and work on their debut album, writing and producing the material themselves as well as performing it. They also plan their first artist EP and develop a live profile as one of the most in-demand DJ duos in dance music.

Live work and profile

The pair are based in London while touring internationally, and they build a presence on both sides of the Atlantic. Their live appearances include festival and club dates around the world, with performances at Lollapalooza, Tokyo and Sydney. They also open for will.i.am in Ibiza, support Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj on the Femme Fatale arena shows, take part in a Las Vegas residency with the Wynn Group, and join the Identity festival tour.

The duo’s image is described as bold and sassy, with an emphasis on strong beats and a direct dancefloor sound. They also appear at a Halloween party at Necker Island hosted by Richard Branson, alongside the Victoria’s Secret models.
