Neoni

Neoni is a United States-based duo made up of Caitlin Powell and Sidney Powell. Active since 2013, the group works in indie, electronic, alternative pop and alternative rock, and builds its sound around dark alternative pop and electronic elements.

Career

Before releasing music as Neoni, Caitlin and Sidney play festivals and gigs in the western United States and begin sharing videos on social media, which helps them build an audience. They launch the Neoni project in 2019 and go on to release more than 30 songs.

The duo works with a number of collaborators, including Unsecret, Rival, Besomorph, Layto, Zayde Wolf, Arcando, M.I.M.E, burnboy, Silverberg and Saint Cardinal. Their releases appear through independent labels such as NCS, Nightblue, Cloudkid and Enter Records.

Recognition and usage

Neoni’s music appears in playlist editorials including Alternative Beats, Friday Cratediggers, All New Rock and Alternative Generation, as well as multiple New Music Friday lists. Their tracks also circulate widely across YouTube music and gaming channels such as KayPea, Marmok, Trap Nation, MrSuicideSheep, CloudKid, TrapCity and xKito.

The group reaches millions of streams and video views each month. Their 2020 track CONQUER serves as the theme song for ESL’s CSGO tournament.

Neoni’s music is featured in television, film promotion and sports coverage, including How To Get Away with Murder, NBC’s Titan Games, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, The CW’s Charmed, NFL Countdown, the series finale of Supernatural, promos for UFC and Amazon Prime, and trailers for HBO and BBC’s Perfect Planet.
