Nemo

Nemo is a French progressive rock group from Le Puy-en-Velay, France, active since 1999. The group is led by Jean Pierre Louveton and is identified with progressive rock.

History

The band forms in 1999, when Pierre Louveton on guitar and vocals, Pascal Bertrand on drums and percussion, and Guillaume Fontaine on keyboards decide to make progressive rock music. In 2000, bassist Herve Esquis joins, but is soon replaced by Benoit Gaignon. The band begins performing in early 2002, and its first concert draws about 100 spectators.

Recordings and line-up changes

Nemo releases its first album, Les Nouveax Mondes, in July 2002. A few months later, JB Itier joins on bass. With that line-up, the group releases its second album, Presages, and promotes it at the Crescendo Festival alongside Anglagard, Cast and Focus.
