Negative Creeps

Negative Creeps

Negative Creeps are a Greek metal group formed in the early 1990s by singer Makis Kanakaris, guitarist John Boulamakis, bassist George Katsaitis and drummer Tomek Solomonidis. Their name comes from a Nirvana song, but their sound is based instead on hardcore and speed metal, with influences from Motörhead and Biohazard.

Style and development

The band develops a heavy hybrid they call “Satancore”, combining brutal hardcore and metal elements. Over the course of the 1990s, this approach becomes more defined, leading to their debut release, 999, in 1999.

Recordings and releases

In 2001, Negative Creeps issue the Satancore EP, which adds more hardcore attitude and nu-metal elements to their sound. They sign to Black Lotus Records and release their second album, In Uterus Rebirth, in 2002.

Live activity

After the Black Lotus release, the group tours with Biohazard and Rotting Christ.
