NBG is a New Zealand music act and a SiIvaGunner contributor. The available information describes it as a band formed in 1984 by four members: Malisa, Kara, Vlajsa and Sisa. It is associated with punk, punk rock, electronic and progressive trance.

History

NBG begins in 1984, when the original four-member line-up forms. After a year, the group goes on tour. It records its first demo and its first compilation in the Purple Eye studio, with the compilation produced by the Slovenian label BlackTape. A video is also recorded for the Italian television channel Rai2.

The band stops working in 1987, then records its first album, N.B.G. 1, in 1996 with the same members. Before the album is released, drummer Malisa dies. Concert activity starts again after a year, with Vlada taking Malisa’s place. The group plays about 100 gigs and completes the tour linked to its first album.

NBG performs a number of humanitarian gigs. It records a second album in 1999, which is released in 2000 and is well received. The band does not play it extensively because of family and personal reasons affecting its members. In 2004, the group plays its last gigs. In 2005, it records a live album, but it is not released because of problems with the label. Recording on a new studio album starts in September 2007, with Kara and Sisa described as the remaining members and looking for new members while working on the record.
