Nation Of Language
Nation Of Language is a Brooklyn-based trio active since 2016. The group consists of Ian Richard Devaney, Aidan Noell and Alex MacKay. Devaney is the main creative force in the band, and he performs alongside Noell, who sings and plays synthesiser, and MacKay on bass.
Their sound is built around synthesiser-led arrangements and draws on indie pop, post-punk, synthwave and new wave. Their music also incorporates elements of krautrock, with a strong focus on melodic electronic textures and a retro-leaning style.
