Natalie Ross

Natalie Ross is a Detroit-born musician, born in 1944, associated with contemporary R&B, disco, jazz, Motown, pop and pop soul. She is linked with the groups The Supremes, The Primettes and We Are Family Collective, and her recordings are issued on Rossville Music.

Music and performance

Her work centres on songs and recordings that she writes, produces, arranges and performs herself. She uses an acoustic guitar, household objects and a distinctive vocal style, giving her music a homemade and DIY character. Her live performances also make use of technology as part of the arrangement and presentation.

Releases and radio play

Ross’s debut solo download single is Me and Delilah, which is played four times on BBC 6 Music by Tom Robinson and Marc Riley. Other singles include Shipwrecked and Secret lemonade drinker. Another download single, Shock to the system, is aired on BBC 6 Music by Tom Robinson and on Kerrang FM by Alex Baker.
