Napoleon IIIrd is a UK musician, producer and remixer who is based in London and spent his formative years in Leeds and Holmfirth. His music combines antique organs and car-boot keyboards with strummed chords and driving beats. His songs often present world-weary observations on modern life over a broad musical backdrop.

Releases

His discography includes two early EPs and a debut album, In Debt To:. He also releases a third EP, Hideki Yukawa, named after the Japanese scientist Hideki Yukawa. His second album, Christiania, is released in 2010 and receives critical attention in mainstream music media.

Touring and collaborations

Napoleon IIIrd tours nationally with Wild Beasts on the Two Dancers album tour and with Yo Majesty!. He also appears at Club NME at KOKO and plays European festivals and clubs. As a remixer, he works on tracks by The Cribs, ¡Forward, Russia!, Sky Larkin, Mat Riviere, Ill Ease, I Concur and Los Campesinos!. He performs alongside Howling Bells, Damo Suzuki, Hot Chip, The Research, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and Chris T-T.

Current work

He is based in a new London studio called NXVI, where he writes and records a third album.
