Nanook

Nanook is a Greenlandic band based in Nuuk and active since 2008. The group sings in Greenlandic and is known for indie rock and rock music. Its line-up comprises Christian K. Elsner, Frederik K. Elsner, Mads Røn, Ib Uldum and Martin Zinck.

Career

Over time, Nanook becomes one of the best-selling acts in newer Greenlandic music history. The band releases award-winning albums and tours internationally, including performances in Canada, the United States, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Taiwan and Japan. It is also noted for energetic live performances.

Recognition

In 2017, Nanook receives a nomination for the Nordic Council Music Prize for its critically acclaimed albums and international activity.
