Nails

Nails are a US grindcore and powerviolence band from Oxnard, California, active since 2007. The group begins as a trio before Andrew Saba joins on guitar. Their lineup includes Todd Jones on vocals and guitar, John Gianelli on bass and vocals, Andrew Saba on guitar, and Taylor Young on drums. The wider band history also names Andrew Solis among the members.

Style and formation

The band’s sound draws on grindcore, crust punk, hardcore punk, death metal, d-beat, sludge and metalcore. They are formed by Todd Jones, who has previously played in Carry On and Terror, and remains active in Internal Affairs and Snake Eyes.

Recordings

Nails release Obscene Humanity in 2009 on Six Feet Under Records. Their LP Unsilent Death follows in 2010, also on Six Feet Under Records. In 2013 they release Abandon All Life on Southern Lord Records.
