Nai Harvest

Nai Harvest is a Sheffield-based two-piece indie and punk band made up of Ben Thompson on guitars and vocals and Lew Currie on drums and percussion. The group forms in the UK DIY scene and is active between 2011 and 2016.

Career

The band releases a number of demos and EPs early on, along with a compilation titled Whatever. In 2014, Nai Harvest signs to Topshelf Records and issues the EP Hold Open My Head, which marks a shift from its earlier material towards songs built around memorable pop hooks, distorted guitar and driving punk rhythms.

Nai Harvest follows this with a split single with London duo Playlounge, issued as a flower-shaped vinyl special edition. In 2015, the band releases its second full-length album, Hairball, which draws on surfy garage punk while keeping the group’s fuzzy pop sound.

Style

The band is associated with emo, indie, screamo, punk and math rock, and is known for moving across styles while keeping a scuzzy, guitar-led sound.
