Nadia Reid is a New Zealand singer-songwriter from Auckland, born in 1991. She performs folk, folk rock and indie folk, and is associated with Slow Time Records.

Career

Reid is based in Auckland and records and performs as a solo artist. Her debut album, Listen to Formation, Look for the Signs, and her later album Preservation receive wide acclaim in New Zealand and internationally.

Live band

She performs live with a regular group of musicians: Sam Taylor on guitar, Richie Pickard on bass, and Joe McCallum on drums.

Awards and recognition

The first single from Preservation, Richard, earns a nomination for the APRA Silver Scroll award in 2017, one of New Zealand’s major songwriting awards. Reid also receives nominations for Best Solo Artist, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and Best Alternative Artist.
