Mystified

Mystified is the solo ambient and drone project of Thomas Park from the United States. Park trains in classical and jazz music as a teenager and spends his life involved in music. In the late 1980s he develops an interest in electronic music.

Before Mystified, he writes techno under the name AutoCad. A collaboration with Robin Storey of Rapoon then leads to Mystified, which becomes an ambient and drone project with a dark ambient and drone focus. The project is associated with Beverina and W.A.R. Productions.

The music of Mystified is mainly atmospheric and focuses on texture, consistency and subtle variation. It follows a minimal, “less is more” approach and is described as suited to listening while working, sleeping or doing other activities.
