Mutiny On the Bounty

Mutiny On the Bounty is a Luxembourgish group from Esch-sur-Alzette, active since 2004. The band forms around four musicians and uses rhythms, melodies and lyrics as its main means of expression.

Style and sound

Their music is described as alternative rock and math rock, with elements of post-hardcore. Their sound combines changing rhythms with melodic songwriting, and later material adds more synthetic and electronic textures, including guitar tones that sometimes resemble organ or keyboard sounds.

Line-up and releases

In a later line-up, Cedric Czaika joins on bass and Clement Delporte on guitar. In 2011 the band completes recording for its second album, Trials, which is produced by Matt Bayles, known for work with Pearl Jam and Mastodon.

Activity and performances

Since forming, the band tours extensively, with more than 400 concerts across 10 tours. It supports acts including Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon, Coheed and Cambria, Portugal. The Man and And So I Watch You From Afar. The group also appears at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
