Mutilator

Mutilator is a Brazilian thrash metal and death metal group from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. It forms in 1985 and remains active until 2001.

History

The band first releases a demo called Grave Desecration, followed by several more demos. In 1987 it issues its debut full-length, Immortal Force, which leans more toward death metal than thrash metal. The next album, Into the Strange, appears in 1988 and returns to a thrash metal style.

After Into the Strange, the band splits because of musical differences. In 2001 there is an attempt to reunite the group for a new album, but the death of guitarist Alexander “Magoo” from a drug overdose ends the project.
