Mutagenic Host are a five-piece death metal band from London, active since 2022. They are associated with the New Wave of British Death Metal alongside acts such as Coffin Mulch, Celestial Sanctuary, Slimelord, Vacuous and Mortuary Spawn.

The group includes members from different parts of the UK and the United States. Their background spans hardcore, black metal and death metal, and their music combines hardcore influence and groove with a sound linked to 1990s Floridian death metal.

Lyrically, Mutagenic Host focus on a technological apocalypse and a world dominated by hypocritical, insidious and murderous global powers. Their songs move away from traditional death metal and hardcore subject matter, instead addressing complacency, apathy and the threat of AI. They present this as an allegory for the industrialised destruction of humanity, including the use of AI by state forces to monitor, control and suppress the population.
