Currently based in Wiltshire and Oxford, UK Mustard and the Monocle formed in July2010, eventually settling on the name after brief spells under the monikers 'Captain Bringmedown and the Pessimistic Starship', 'Whoa! That's My Tail' and 'Wooden Leg, Real Foot'. Drummer Simon Small joined the indie/folk project after his brother Jamie Small(bass) and frontman James Devine combined the punk and indie roots of their previous bands with more recent folk influences to produce the energetic, harmony filled sound of Mustard and the Monocle.
