Mudra

Mudra is a dubstep producer, DJ and sound designer from Cagliari in Sardinia. His work also sits within bass music, with productions that move across dubstep, trap, halftime and future beats. He is based in Sardinia and is active as a producer rather than as a group.

Style and sound

His music combines an ancient, mystical aesthetic with eastern and tribal influences. It uses deep 808 basslines, heavily distorted synthesizers and irregular drum patterns. Although the tags associated with his work also include thrash metal, tribal, trance and trap, the core of his output is bass-oriented electronic music.

Releases

Mudra’s first EP, Divinorum, is released on the San Francisco label Muti Music in 2016. After that, three more EPs follow: Kala EP, Monarch EP and Brahma EP.

Other work and collaborations

He is also the person behind Tera Mastering. In addition, he works closely with Samsara Beats and with other labels and clients around the world.

Reception

His sound gains support from collectives and music blogs including Ethnofusion, Soho Radio and The Untz.
