Mr. David Viner

Mr. David Viner

Mr. David Viner is a singer-songwriter from the United Kingdom whose work draws on folk, blues and acoustic pop, with tags also linking him to garage rock. His music is described as combining elements associated with Nick Drake, Leon Redbone and Son House, placing him in a lineage shaped by folk, blues and older forms of rock and roll.

He works in the United Kingdom and has a first record made in Detroit in 2003, during a period when that city was experiencing a revival of garage rock. He is associated with Ambiguous Records and is connected with a circle of musicians who keep older rock and roll, blues and folk traditions in circulation.

Viner is also described as a friend of the Soledad Brothers, a band that is now defunct.
