moumoon

moumoon is a Japanese j-pop group active since 2005. It is a duet made up of vocalist and lyricist Yuka and guitarist and composer Masaki Kohsuke. The name combines the French word mou, meaning tender, and the English word moon.

Releases and early career

The group releases its debut mini album, Flowers, in 2006. Before that, it issues a pre-debut single that includes two tracks later featured on the single Flowers and pride. In 2007, moumoon signs to Avex Trax and releases its second mini album, love me?.

Live work and development

moumoon performs its first television live with the song SWEET HEART. This appearance helps the group steadily build attention and a fanbase.

The group consists of 柾昊佑 and Yuka. It is associated with the labels moumoon, AVEX MANAGEMENT INC., and avex trax.
